The antimicrobial properties of copper and brass are well established and thoroughly researched (1,2,3) both alloys actively cleanse their own surfaces faster than any other solid metals. The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has registered them as the first solid antimicrobial materials (1). Hookd is made from these very same alloys.
Hookd dramatically reduces the surface contact needed to interact with things like doors handles, and pin pads. In combination with Hookd's antimicrobial properties we believe that Hookd can help reduce the spread of harmful microbes like coronavirus throughout our communities.
